			.IGNATIUS PEAKES. THE CHARACTER Name: Ignatius Peakes Gender: Male Age/Birthdate: 15th March, 1992 Sexuality: Bisexual, no preference Blood Status: Halfblood FAMILY HISTORY Ignatius (a distant relative of Jimmy Peakes, Gryffindor) was born to Amelia Peakes, the unexpected result of a one-night stand with a Muggle. She looked after him for the first five years of his life and worked endlessly to support the both of them. As a Muggle-sympathising Pureblood, Amelia was scared when Voldemort got hold of Britain and, thinking it was for the best, left Ignatius to grow up in the Muggle world. Ignatius was left at the entrance of Nottingham City Council ten minutes before the first workers arrived, a letter in his name explaining the abandonment. Ignatius grew up in foster homes, moving from one to another with alarming frequency due to his accidental magic or 'difficulties' as they were known in social worker slang. He found out about his magical heritage on his 11th birthday when things finally fell into place. During the Hogwarts summers, Ignatius was taken back to foster homes. He had good friends who cared about him but was too embarrassed to let them know of his circumstances. He always made out that he had a dad so they wouldn't feel obliged to invite him. He decided in his third year, after finding out that his mother had been murdered mere weeks after she'd left him, that he wanted to be an Auror and set his heart on becoming the best he could be. After school Ignatius started and finished Auror training and now is a full-time Auror. He loves his job and has a pet dog (a Rhodesian Ridgeback) named Partner. FAMILY MEMBERS Mother – Amelia Peakes (deceased) Father – Unknown PHYSICAL APPEARANCE Ignatius has brown hair and blue eyes. He's around 6ft1 and is well-built due to his job and his love of going to the gym. SCHOOL / JOB STUFF House: Gryffindor, 2003-2010 Occupation: Auror Other affiliations: Beater (5th - 7th year) Returnee: No THE PERSONALITY Ignatius is a typical Gryffindor; impulsive, rash when it comes to his own personal safety and brave when on the field. He isn't one to sit behind a desk when he can be solving crimes and finds the paperwork of the MLE incredibly dull (not to mention pointless). He has deep-seated (and deeply buried) issues about being abandoned by his mother and feels as if he can't get closure due to her untimely death. He tends to blame everything on this, refusing to take any responsibility for his own actions. Ignatius is very guarded about his circumstances and not many people know of his background or life in the Muggle world, something he wishes to keep this way. He is cautious around people he doesn't know and sometimes across as uncaring or unfriendly when he's actually very interested. Around friends he is both sociable and friendly and enjoys spending time with them. He has a great respect for those in the MLE and is always well-disposed to like any of his team unless proven wrong. SPECIAL ABILITIES / STRENGTHS / FLAWS Ignatius is very good at tracking dark wizards. He trusts his instincts and they don't often lead him wrong. He's very bad at being told what to do and often has to bite his tongue not to say anything.
